Crime Report: Port Jeff Station Man Arrested on Back-to-Back Days

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

• Kenneth McKay, 39, of East Northport, was arrested on April 27 on trespassing charges. According to Suffolk County Police, McKay unlawfully entered a on Route 112 after being told to leave.

• Charles Birch, 21, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on April 27 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Police said Birch was found with a controlled substance in a municipal lot.

• Kenneth Rongo, 28, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on April 26 on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said he was arrested in front of Orville Drive in Ronkonkoma around 2:50 p.m. Rongo was arrested at 12:46 a.m. the following day on petit larceny charges. According to police, Rongo was in possession of an iPhone that belonged to someone else while on Montauk Highway in Patchogue.
