Crime Report: Smashed Windshield, Leaving the Scene of MVA, and Stolen Items
A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson
Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Dec. 5—11:
Philip Leucia, 24, of Port Jefferson was arrested Dec. 8 in Port Jefferson and charged with third degree criminal mischief. Reports state Leucia was arrested at his home at approximately 5 a.m. after kicking a Suffolk County Police patrol car windshield.
Dawn Columbo, 29, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Dec. 7 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with petit larceny. Reports state Columbo was arrested at the Rite Aid Store on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station after placing nail products in her jacket and leaving the store without paying.

Franklin Rodriguez, 30, or Port Jefferson Station was arrested Dec. 5 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Reports state Rodriguez was arrested at approximately 10 a.m. at his home after leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Reports also state Rodriguez fled the scene with his Honda.
None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
