Crime Report: Tip Jars Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during June 21-26:

John Bonkowski, 44, of Port Jefferson was arrested June 26 in Port Jefferson and charged with criminal mischief. Bonkowski allegedly intentionally damaged a wooden gate and metal latch on Sagamore Hills Dr., Coram at approximately 3:25 p.m.

Janine Jenn, 51, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested June 26 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with disorderly conduct. Jenn allegedly used abusive and/or obscene language on Sagamore Hills Dr., Port Jefferson Station.

Brian Leavey, 18, of Selden was arrested June 25 in Port Jefferson and charged with first degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Leavey was operating a 1996 Jeep Cheroke traveling southbound on Route 112 and Barmen Avenue, Port Jefferson at approximately 12:39 a.m while he was allegedly intoxicated.

John Mahoney, 24, of Moriches was arrested June 25 in Port Jefferson and charged with petty larceny. Mahoney allegedly stole tip jars from 112 Main St., Port Jefferson Station.

Thomas Sacco, 29, of Port Jefferson was arrested June 24 in Coram and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Sacco was allegedly operating a 1995 Jeep Cherokee without a driver’s license on Route 25 in Coram at approximately 2:24 p.m.

Russell Clinton, 62, of Rocky Point was arrested June 23 in Port Jefferson and charged with DWI. Clinton was allegedly operating a 2009 Hyundai while intoxicated. Reports state he was traveling northbound on Main St. at approximately 12:40 a.m.
