Crime Report: Verbal Threats, Resisting Arrest, and Stolen Parts from Car Dealership

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Nov.14—20: 

James Licausi, 59, of Riverhead was arrested Nov. 17 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.  Reports state Licausi was arrested at the intersection of Cherub Lane and Route 112 in Port Jefferson.  Reports also state Licausi fought with another male and ignored verbal commands from police officers on the scene. 

John Savage, 34, of Port Jefferson was arrested Nov. 17 in Selden and charged with aggravated harassment.  Reports state Savage was arrested at the sixth precinct after he made verbal threats to a female victim.

Brian Lewis, 23, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 17 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with 2nd degree burglary.  Reports state Lewis entered a residence and unlawfully stole property belonging to a female victim.

Daniel Gomez, 29, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 16 in Coram and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.  Reports state Gomez operated a 2005 Lincoln southbound on Old Country Road and County Road 83 when he failed to continue driving in the right lane to create proper traffic flow.  Reports also state he had the right of way and knowingly operated the vehicle with a suspended license.

Christopher Spencer, 28, of Patchogue was arrested Nov. 16 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with two counts of criminal possession of marijuana.  Reports state police officers spotted marijuana in the driver's seat of his 2001 Dodge on Boyle Road in Port Jefferson Station.  82 boyle rd. in pjs where incident took place. 

Alexander Scialpi, 39, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 16 in Medford and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.  Reports state Scialpi was arrested after possessing marijuana on in his 2000 Mecedez Benz on Roberts Avenue and Route 112. 

Salvatore Dirato, 60, of Coram was arrested Nov. 16 in Port Jefferson and charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.  Reports state Dirato was pulled over for failure to wear a seatbelt and coincidently was arrested between Main Street and High Street for drug impairment.  He operated a 2003 BMW according to police. 

Christopher Love, 16, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 14 in Centereach and charged with burglary.  Repots state Love entered the side door entrance of Hyundai on Route 25 and removed parts and loaded them into a Ford van. 

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
