Red flames billowed from a home on Harbor Park drive in Centerport Thursday as firefighters from five different departments worked to put out the blaze in freezing temperatures.

Police: Son Charged With Mother's Murder in Medford

A month and a half after Bonnie Farrell was found dead in her Medford bedroom, her own son has been charged in her murder, police said. 

Police: Teen Charged in Lindenhurst Armed Robbery

A Wyandanch teen was arrested following an armed robbery in Lindenhurst Monday night, police said. Police said Taieek Smith, 18, displayed a handgun and demanded money from someone inside a residence on 43rd Street around 10:30 p.m. Monday. 

Cops Catch TD Bank Robber

A Uniondale man has been arrested for a string of bank robberies this month, including one in Garden City Jan. 13, according to the Nassau County Robbery Squad.

Police Charge Glen Cove Man in Hicksville Sex Attack

Nassau Police have charged a Glen Cove man in connection with the sexual abuse of a massage therapist in early January at the Red Bell Spa in Hicksville, Nassau Police said.

Syosset Attorney Charged with Tax Fraud

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced that a Syosset attorney has been arrested and charged Thursday with failure to report income on his New York State personal income tax returns over a three-year period – resulting in an unpaid bill to New York State of nearly $28,000.

Firefighters Save Part of Pool House

In blistering temperatures, Southampton firefighters saved part of a pool house that was engulfed in flames on the historic "Mocomanto" property in Southampton Village on Wednesday evening. 

DA: Driver Who Killed Woman in Hampton Bays Indicted on 9 Counts, Including Vehicular Homicide

A Flanders man who allegedly hit and killed a woman in Hampton Bays admitted blacking out while driving drunk pleaded not guilty to nine charges on Thursday, including vehicular homicide, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.

East Hampton Woman Found Dead Outside Her Home

East Hampton Town police are investigating the death of a 67-year-old East Hampton woman, who was found outside her home covered in snow — the second person discovered dead outside after the snow storm this week.

Police: Lake Ronkonkoma TD Bank Robbed

The Lake Ronkonkoma TD Bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police. Police say a man entered the bank, located at 474 Portion Road, demanded cash from a teller and threatened the use of a gun around 1:45 p.m.
