Crimes Nearby: Employee Charged With Robbing Miller Place 7-Eleven

East Setauket

Jonathan Pomeroy, 26, of East Setauket, was arrested March 19 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Pomeroy was arrested at a business located at 766 Route 25A at 9:11 p.m. According to police, he also had a hypodermic needle in his possession.

Sara Veryzer, 24, of East Setauket, was arrested March 19 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to reports, Veryzer was arrested alongside Pomeroy at the same location.

Miller Place

An employee of in Miller Place was arrested March 20 and charged with petty larceny. He allegedly rung up beer and other items, then voided the sale and took the items.

A 16-year-old boy, of Miller Place, was arrested March 19 and charged with burglary-illegal entry with intent. He allegedly entered a house under construction on Park Lane and wrote on the walls.

Rocky Point

Joanna Franco, 42, of Rocky Point, was arrested March 20 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe.

Smithtown

Michelle Morris, 42, of Hauppauge, was arrested in Smithtown on March 18 at 1:36 p.m. on petit larceny charges. Reports state Morris took assorted groceries from Target.

St. James

Matthew Krauss, a St. James man arrested Friday for , told authorities he "panicked" when he discovered she had overdosed on heroin and Xanax. .
