Crimes Nearby: Cops Nab Reported Fake Rolex Dealer

Also this week, a Stony Brook woman drove drunk into two parked cars and a building, police said.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
SMITHTOWN

• A Nesconset woman was arrested on two burglary charges this week, including stealing cash from a nearby house of worship.

Suffolk County police arrested Marisa Chayet, 23, after she allegedly swiped cash from Chabad Torah Community Center in Lake Grove. Police did not indicate how much was stolen.

THREE VILLAGE

• Police on Tuesday arrested Susan Kelly, 54, of Stony Brook, following a crash in which police said she hit two parked cars and then crashed into a building shortly after 3 p.m. Kelly is charged with DWI and third-degree reckless assault, both misdemeanors.

MILLER PLACE

• While a helicopter search for a man in the Rocky Point area proved unsuccessful on Sunday, Suffolk County Police eventually picked up a man wanted on a bench warrant who had fled police earlier in the day. One Patch reader had heard that there was an armed robbery at 7-Eleven, and while that's where the man was first spotted, no robbery was reported. As it happened, according to Suffolk Police, the man was spotted by an officer who knew that there was a warrant out for him, and fled once he was seen.
