Sound Beach

John Edgar, II, 33, of Shirley was arrested Aug. 29 in Sound Beach and charged with second degree unlawful imprisonment. Reports indicate Edgar was arrested for the alleged refusal to let another male exit his vehicle. Reports indicate Edgar allegedly threatened the male with physical harm if he didn’t comply.

Miller Place

Richard Kijowski, 51, of Farmingville was arrested Aug. 27 in Miller Place and charged with criminal mischief. Reports indicate Kijowski was arrested for the alleged theft of lawn furniture at approximately 2 a.m. It was unclear if the furniture was stolen from a business or a residency.

Rocky Point

Gregory Harvey, 55, of Hempstead was arrested Aug. 27 in Rocky Point and charged with fourth degree grand larceny. Reports indicate Harvey was arrested for the alleged theft of assorted merchandise from Waldbaums.

Three Village

Peter Morrongiello, 46, of Setauket was arrested Aug. 26 in Stony Brook and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate Morrongiello was traveling in a 2002 Chevrolet when he hit a tree on Route 347, Stony Brook. Reports indicate he was arrested for DWI at approximately 9:50 p.m.

Smithtown

A sixteen year old girl, of Shirley was arrested Aug. 26 in Smithtown and charged with petty larceny. Reports indicate the female allegedly stole merchandise from Walmart.

Victor Nigro, Jr., 32, of Ronkonkoma was arrested Aug. 23 in Smithtown and charged with second degree criminal impersonation. Reports indicate Nigro was arrested for the impersonation of a Suffolk County Police Officer.

Hauppauge

Victoria Miranda, 21, of Central Islip, was arrested in Islandia Aug. 27 at 3:50 p.m. on charges of petty larceny. Police said Miranda was seen at Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Highway, taking cosmetics and other items from the store without paying or permission.

Jose Moran, 38, of Islandia, was arrested in Islandia Aug. 24 on charges of aggravated use of a motor vehicle without a license. Police said they saw Moran driving a 1995 Ford around Old Nichols Road and South Bedford Avenue at around 10:32 a.m. when they ran his plates. Moran was pulled over after it was determined he was driving with a revoked license.

Riverhead

Police said on Wednesday morning they are seeking the public's help in finding a couple they say stole $3,700 in clothing from Ann Taylor Loft at Tanger Outlets.

Suffolk Police said that on July 27 a Hispanic male in his late 20s and a Hispanic female in her late 40s stole the merchandise. The male had dark colored hair. No security photos of the female were available.

Authorities are offering up to $5,000 as a reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept anonymous.
