Crimes Nearby: Resisting Arrest, Menacing and Harassment

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department or village police and does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following arrests between Aug. 1-12:

Sound Beach

Sarah Ogden, 33, of Sound Beach was arrested Aug. 6 in Sound Beach and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. Reports indicate Ogden allegedly left the scene of a crash on Middle Country Rd., Selden at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Rocky Point

Kevin Acerno, 50, of Centereach was arrested Aug. 4 in Rocky Point and charged with third degree criminal trespassing. Reports state Acerno allegedly climbed over a fence on the north side of a yard on Rocky Point-Yaphank Rd. at approximately 8:20 p.m.

Richard Strahle, 46, of West Babylon was arrested Aug. 3 in Rocky Point and charged with petty larceny. Reports state Strahle allegedly stole a GPS Unit from 676 Route 25A at approximately 3 p.m.

Three Village

Nina Estick, 43, of Rocky Point, was arrested Aug. 11 on Trustees Road in Setauket and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle without owner consent. According to police, Estick was allegedly found driving a 1999 Pontiac that did not belong to her.

Christine Baltieri, 42, of Stony Brook, was arrested Aug. 1 on Route 25 in Centereach and charged with second degree harassment. According to police, Baltieri allegedly threatened to choke the driver of the taxi in which she was a passenger.

Smithtown

Michael Frank, 19, of Smithtown was arrested Aug. 9 in Smithtown and charged with resisting arrest, third degree burglary, and three counts of third degree criminal mischief. Reports state Frank was arrested after he allegedly kicked the windshield of a 1999 Jeep on North County Complex at approximately 2 p.m.

Jessica Alagna, 26, of Amityville was arrested Aug. 8 in Smithtown and charged with third degree criminal mischief. Reports state Alagna was arrested after she allegedly keyed a 2008 Honda Pilot on Nesconset Hwy., Hauppauge at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Riverhead

The mother of a 15-year-old boy from Riverhead told police that on Aug. 7 in Riverside, two older boys came out of a nearby house and threatened her son and his friend. The older boys allegedly said they would beat them up, and kicked their bicycles. One of the older boys reportedly came out of the house with a knife, but didn’t threaten him with it, or point it at him.
