Riverhead

Two Riverhead men were arrested in Flanders Friday after detectives allegedly discovered them trying to steal a jukebox and other items from a garage. Police said they received a call about two men loading a pickup truck with items from a Maple Avenue garage on Oct. 28 at around 3:45 p.m. When they arrived at the scene they spotted Jerome Trent, 56, and Jonathan Downing, 48, both of Riverhead, putting a jukebox and other metal items in the truck, according to a police report.

About two weeks after her , Nicole Leggon faces another charge related to her work as manager of a group home in Riverhead, according to Southampton Town Police. Police said Leggon, 28, of Riverhead cashed and pocketed a $170 payroll check at the on West Second Street in Riverhead on June 30.

The check belonged to a disabled resident at the in Riverhead, according to a police report. At the time of the incident Leggon was employed as the house manager and caregiver, according to police. She is currently unemployed. Officers charged her with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, on Oct. 27 at police headquarters, according to a police report.

Smithtown

Andre Machate, 41, of St. James, was arrested Oct. 27 in Smithtown and charged with third degree grand larceny, and third degree criminal mischief. Machate was arrested for the alleged theft of a generator and assorted power tools from a lumber store located in Nesconset. Reports indicate when he was arrested, he allegedly broke a fire suppression device in the holding cell.

Robert Smith, 20, of North Babylon, was arrested Oct. 26 in North Babylon and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Smith was arrested for the alleged possession of a stolen mini motorcycle. Reports indicate he was observed operating the motorcycle on a public roadway in Mastic.

Allison Cody, 39, of Hicksville, was arrested Oct. 26 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Cody was arrested for the alleged unlawful dealing with a child. Reports indicate she served alcohol to a minor and during a search, was found in possession of a controlled substance.

Three Village

Maurice McCray, 18, of Centereach, was arrested Oct. 26 in Stony Brook and charged with first degree robbery with use of a dangerous instrument. McCray allegedly stabbed someone and stole the victim's iPhone. Matthew McCue, 23, of Selden, was also arrested and charged with first degree robbery during the incident.

Miller Place-Rocky Point

Jonathan Gordon, 51, from Mount Sinai, was arrested on Oct. 22 at 11:08 a.m. on Route 25A in Miller Place. He reportedly had an altercation after a motor vehicle accident and kicked a car door. He was charged with second degree harassment with physical contact and criminal mischief with intent to damage property.
