Crimes Nearby: Bartender Serves Drink to Minor

Stony Brook

Nicholas Dimuzio, 20, of Stony Brook, was arrested Jan. 20 and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, first degree – alcohol. According to a police report, Dimuzio was bartending at Comiskey's Park in St. James when he allegedly served an alcoholic drink to a minor.

Andreas Dambakakis, 30, of Nesconset was arrested on Jan. 26  and charged with one count of third-degree robbery for allegedly robbing People's United Bank that morning.

Suffolk County police said a man entered People's United Bank on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday. The man approached a teller and handed over a note stating he had a gun and wanted cash, instructing the teller to fill his black messenger bag. The man then fled the bank on foot. The exact amount stolen was not disclosed.

Smithtown

William Jasen, 26, of Smithtown was arrested Jan. 21 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state he was stopped for speeding in a 2012 Volkswagon while travelling westbound on Rt. 25 at 1:05 a.m.

William Moseley, Jr., 31, of Wyandanch was arrested Jan. 21 in Smithtown and charged with operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs. He allegedly failed to yield and to maintain his lane at the intersection of Rt. 25 and Old Willets Path.

John Anastasiou, 28, and Jacklyn Lynch, 28, both of St. James, were arrested Jan. 19 and charged with second degree burglary and seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. They are accused of entering a residence on Clover Lane in St. James through a side door on Jan. 17 and stealing a computer and other items. They were allegedly in possession of drugs at the time of their arrest.

Nanette Rossi, 45, of Mastic was arrested Jan. 18 in Smithtown and charged with first offense leaving the scene of an accident with an injury. Rossi was allegedly involved in an accident on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove on May 21 in which another person was injured.

Rocky Point

Debra Joyce Hotzoglou, of Mastic Beach, was arrested Jan. 25 in Rocky Point and charged with second degree harassment. She allegedly struck a man in the back of the head in September of 2011 and was arrested on an arrest warrant on Jan. 25.

Riverhead

A Southold man was arrested early Friday morning on DWI charges after State Police said he hit a curb while speeding around the Riverside traffic circle. According to police, Paul Reinckens, 24, was pulled over just after 2 a.m. while driving a gray Mercury. Police said he struck a curb and after being asked to pull over, Reinckens stopped in the middle of the road and had to be instructed again to pull to the side of the road. Police said a strong odor of alcohol was detected on his breath, and he failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with DWI and speeding, and is due back at Southampton Town Justice Court on Feb. 12.
