Gas Leak Near Port Jeff High School
Report of a gas leak near high school on Old Post and Dark Hollow Roads.
On Thursday afternoon a contractor hit a gas main at the intercetion of Old Post Rd. and Dark Hollow Rd. causing a gas leak, according to a report in the Port Times Record.
Second Assistant Chief Dave Williams of the Port Jefferson Fire Department told the newspaper that the fire department got the call at about 2:30 p.m. and that the students were held back briefly before being safely dismissed from school.
