Incident Report: Burglaries Reported in Mt. Sinai, Port Jefferson

The following incidents were reported to Suffolk County police between April 24 and May 3.

A resident of High Street in Port Jefferson reported May 3 that someone broke the window and lock of a side door to get inside the house and steal jewelry. The burglary happened sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

A resident of Vidoni Drive in Mt. Sinai reported April 30 that someone threw a rock through a front window to get inside the house and steal jewelry, an iPad and an iPod. The burglary happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 4:20 p.m.

Fabricio Lopez, 23, of Levittown, was arrested April 24 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments, both misdemeanors. According to a police report, Lopez had two cans of spray paint and was seen taking photographs of graffiti on a commercial building on Jefferson Avenue in Port Jefferson Station. Police arrested him at 1 p.m.
