Incident Report: Car Break-Ins Reported on Bicycle Path

The following incidents were reported to the Suffolk County Police Department between March 13 and March 21.

GRAND LARCENY

Someone broke into three cars – a 2006 Chevrolet, a 2004 Volvo, and a 2010 GMC – that were parked at a residence on Bicycle Path on March 18. According to a police report, that person took cash, a GPS device, knives, a cell phone, a handbag, and personal papers.

A resident of Stephen Path in Port Jefferson reported March 21 that someone stole various pieces of silver serveware from the home – including plates, cups, and a tea set – sometime between Feb. 28 and March 21. There was no sign of forced entry at the home.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Someone broke the window of a 2012 Ford via unknown means at 7:45 a.m. at a business located on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station on March 15.

A resident of Salisbury Run in Mt. Sinai reported March 16 that someone damaged the mailbox at approximately 11:45 p.m.

HARASSMENT

A physical conflict between a Wilmot Road landlord and tenant was reported to police on March 13 following the tenant's partial rent payment to the landlord.
