Incident Report: Criminal Mischief, Car Break-Ins, Bar Fights Reported

The following incidents were reported to Suffolk County police between April 6 and April 12.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  • A resident of Watersedge Way in Port Jefferson reported April 7 that someone had smashed a passenger side window and caused other damage to a car, a 2011 Audi, that was parked in the driveway of the home. According to a police report, the incident took place sometime between 11 p.m. on April 6 and 9 a.m. on April 7. Nothing was stolen from the car.
  • Another resident of Watersedge Way in Port Jefferson reported April 7 that someone had shattered a passenger side window on a 2005 Ford, which was parked in the street in front of the home. According to a police report, the incident took place sometime between 6 p.m. on April 6 and 9 a.m. on April 7. Nothing was stolen from the car.
  • A homeowner on Patchogue Road in Port Jefferson Station reported April 12 that someone had broken a glass window pane in the garage and replaced it with a board sometime between 12 p.m. on April 10 and 7 p.m. on April 12.

GRAND LARCENY

  • A resident of Bleeker Street in Port Jefferson reported April 8 that someone stole a gift card, cash, credit and debit cards, and personal papers from an unlocked car parked in the driveway of the home. According to a police report, the incident took place between 5 p.m. on April 7 and 8:30 a.m. on April 8.
  • A resident of Mt. Sinai Avenue in Mt. Sinai reported April 10 that a log splitter was stolen from the front yard of the property.

ASSAULT & HARASSMENT

  • A patron at Spycoast in Port Jefferson reported April 6 that someone he didn't know punched him in the face at approximately 12:30 a.m.
  • A patron of Tommy's Place in Port Jefferson reported April 7 that someone he didn't know slapped and punched him in the face at approximately 3 a.m.
  • In a separate incident, a male complainant in Port Jefferson reported April 7 that someone he didn't know hit him on the head, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head again, requiring medical treatment at Mather Hospital. The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m.
