Incident Report: Golfers Clash on Willow Creek Green

The following incidents were reported in the greater Port Jefferson area between July 15 and July 21.

• Two men got into a physical altercation on the greens at Willow Creek Golf Club in Mt. Sinai on July 20 at around 7:30 p.m. One man, whom police said was frustrated that the golfers in front of him were taking too long, allegedly punched and ripped the shirt of another man. The victim refused medical attention for a minor injury. 

• Two incidents were reported at the Stony Hollow condominium complex on Old Town Road in Port Jefferson Station. One resident said her metal mailbox had been pried open on July 18; another resident reported finding a rock thrown through the rear windshield of her 2006 VW Jetta at around 12:40 p.m. on July 21.

• A woman who had been kicked out of a block party on Montrose Drive in Port Jefferson Station on July 20 allegedly punched the tail light of a sport utility vehicle at around 10 p.m.

• A resident of Bunny Lane in Port Jefferson Station reported that someone broke the window of a car that was parked in the street at around 10:15 p.m. on July 15.
