Police Investigate 4 Cases of Criminal Mischief

Two businesses and two homes reported vandalism.

Suffolk County police are investigating four incidents of vandalism that occurred between June 19 andSaturday in the greater Port Jefferson area.

On Saturday, someone damaged the window of Tommy's Place, possibly with a BB gun, shortly after 4 a.m. That same day, Station Coffee Shop in the Jefferson Shopping Center in Port Jefferson Station reported that the steel back door was damaged, but no one was able to actually enter the shop.

On June 20, a resident of Old Town Road in Port Jefferson Station reported that a side window on a 2008 Chrysler Caravan was broken sometime between 8:20 and 11 p.m. Also, on June 19, a resident of Bates Drive in Port Jefferson Station reported that someone took his mailbox and post out of the ground at around 9 p.m.
