Incident Report: Stabbing on Main Street Sends 1 to Hospital

Police report of incidents in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station.

Two people got into a fight in Port Jefferson on Dec. 1 at about 12:30 a.m. when one was cut with a folding knife by the other, according to a police report. The injured person was taken to St. Charles Hospital. The incident happened on Main Street near Port Jeff Army Navy. No arrests were made.

On Dec. 1 at about 3 a.m., a person living in a home on Mark Street in Port Jefferson Station reported coming home to find personal items destroyed. The complainant told police it was an ongoing problem with someone else who lives in the same home.

An unknown substance was wiped onto a 2005 Ford Mustang parked near a residence on Terryville Road in Port Jefferson Station on Dec. 2 that appeared to be taking the paint off the car.

On Dec. 4 at about 7:15 p.m., someone was punched in the left eye while hanging out in the playground at Clinton Avenue Elementary School in Port Jefferson Station. The injured person suffered a minor cut in the eye and refused medical attention.
