Local Man Dies in Crash on Southern State
A 62-year-old Port Jefferson Station resident killed in one car accident.
A 62-year old man was killed in a crash on the Southern State Parkway Tuesday, state police said.
Samuel Aririatu, age 62, of Port Jefferson lost control of his Toyota SUV and went up on the shoulder of the westbound parkway before striking a tree near the Bethpage Parkway exit, at 11:25 a.m.
He was pronounced dead a short time later at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage.
