Police: Man Found Dead at Port Jeff Station Business Was 'Victim of Violence'

Daniel Dombrowski, an employee at Melting and Filling Equipment is found dead Thursday morning, police say.

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found dead inside a Port Jefferson Station business Thursday morning. 

An employee at Melting and Filling Equipment, located at 600 Bicycle Path, called 911 at 10:59 a.m. after Daniel Dombrowski, who was also an employee of the company, was found dead in the building, police said. 

Police said Dombrowski, 37, of Port Jefferson Station, "appeared to be a victim of violence."

An autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
