Police: Man Arrested For Vandalism at Port Jeff Restaurant

Police arrested a Wading River man Wednesday who they say vandalized a Port Jefferson restaurant earlier this month.

Police said man Brian Colantropo, 34, entered the outdoor back patio section of Tommy’s Place, located at 109 Main Street, on March 1 at approximately 2:30 a.m. Colantropo kicked the rear door causing damage and he used his lighter to burn several holes in a rear outdoor awning, police said.

Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers David Murray and Anthony Buonagurio investigated the incident and were able to identify the suspect as Colantropo, police said.

Colantropo is charged with charged with fifth degree arson, fourth degree criminal mischief and third degree trespassing. He is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.
