Police: Woman Saved from Water at Cedar Beach

Woman rescued by lifeguards at Cedar Beach.

Suffolk Police were called to Cedar Beach 3:04 p.m. Saturday afternoon after a 75-year-old woman was found faced down in the water.

Lifeguards were able to revive the woman with CPR, and when police, Miller Place and Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance arrived, she was conscious and alert.

She was taken to Mather Hospital by PJVAC.

the woman's daughter started the cpr! good job kim!!!!!!!!

The CPR was started and completed by the town of Brookhaven lifeguards which were on duty. Her daughter did not have part in the admission of CPR or first aid. Two lifeguards a male and female administered the CPR. You are incorrect.

yeah, good job lifeguards! it took a 7 year old to realize the woman was dying in the water. what were your glory hound lifeguards doing?? sleeping?? oh and the jolly drunken vollies showed up?? wow! thanks a lot!!
