Port Jefferson Station Man Charged in Armed Robbery

A 32-year-old Port Jefferson Station man was caught nine days after he allegedly robbed a Seldan gas station at gunpoint.
Police said Kevin Walter held up a Sunoco station on Middle Country Road in Selden, displaying a black pistol and demanding cash on April 21 at about 2:20 a.m. The cashier complied, but police didn’t disclose how much cash Walter took.
Walter's vehicle was later identified using surveillance footage from the gas station, police said. He was arrested in Selden on April 30 at about 10:35 p.m.
