Port Jefferson Station Man Stunned by Police While Resisting Arrest

Man accused of menacing a female employee of a Selden tanning salon.

Newsday reported that police had to use a stun gun on a Port Jefferson Station man when he resisted arrest outside a Selden tanning salon yesterday. Christian Palma, 39, was taken to St. Charles Hospital to be treated.

According to court records, Palma was in Central Islip Criminal Court on Tuesday. Bail was set at $10,000 but was not posted. A temporary order of protection was also issued by the judge. Palma is expected back in court on Sept. 5.
