A van stuck and cracked a utility pole in half on Myrtle Avenue in Port Jefferson on Friday evening. When the Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Port Jefferson Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found that all of the occupants were outside of the vehicle.
Firefighters used a speedy dry to contain a small fuel spill.
According to Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance Corp. 1st Assistant Chief Kathleen Johnson, no one was transported to the hospital.
