Wallet Stolen From Hair Salon

Suffolk Police Sixth Precinct are asking the public for help in identifying a man who stole a wallet from a Port Jefferson hair salon on Oct. 21.

Suffolk Police are looking for a man who took a wallet from a Port Jefferson area hair salon on Thursday, Oct. 21. Later that same day he tried to use one of the stolen cards at a ATM machine in Port Jefferson Station.

The identity of the suspect who used the cards is unknown but a picture of him was snapped as he tried to use the card at the bank located at 4800 Nesconset Highway. Suffolk Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate the suspect.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Reference: CW# 10-167/dm
