YOUR PHOTOS: Fire Destroys Danford's Dock in Port Jefferson

Readers share their photos of the fire and its aftermath.

When a fire erupted on the dock behind Danford's Marina on Tuesday, people rushed to see what was causing all the smoke that enveloped the village.

The dock house fire that firefighters eventually put out was a total loss but Danford's General Manager Stewart Weiner was optimistic telling Patch, "We still have 2 months until the season starts. We have time to rebuild and open up." Luckily, no one was hurt in the blaze.

From the ferry and the marina dock people can still see the charred remains of the fire and readers took to social media and their cameras (whether it was a professional SLR or a smartphone) to post pictures.
