Legislator Hahn And NY Blood Center Teaming Up to Keep Blood Supply From Becoming Critical

 

Port Jefferson, NY– Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn and the New York Blood Center are teaming up to save lives this Summer by hosting a blood drive on Friday, July 27th at the Port Jefferson Village Center, 101-A East Broadway, Port Jefferson.  The Blood Center will mail two New York Mets tickets to each donor in appreciation of his/her commitment to saving lives.

Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are appreciated so call (631) 854-1650 to schedule a convenient donation time, today!  Please remember to bring valid identification, eat and be well hydrated before making your donation.  Due to New York Blood Center guidelines, donors must weigh over 110 pounds, be between the ages of 16 and 75 and not have had a tattoo in the past 12 months.

Blood supplies during the summer months fall, oftentimes to critical levels with donors taking vacations and colleges and schools on recesses.   Help prevent a shortage this summer; remember you can save the lives of three of your neighbors with one donation, so signup today.
