Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn and the New York Blood Center are teaming up to save lives this Summer by hosting a blood drive at the on Friday from 1 to 7 p.m.
The Blood Center will mail two New York Mets tickets to each donor in appreciation of the commitment to saving lives.
Blood supplies during the summer months fall, oftentimes to critical levels with donors taking vacations and colleges and schools on recesses, according to a statment released by Kara Hahn's office.
To help prevent a shortage this summer head down to give blood on Friday.
Walk-ins are welcomed but appointments are appreciated. Call (631) 854-1650 to schedule a convenient donation time. Bring valid identification, eat and be well hydrated before making your donation.
Due to New York Blood Center guidelines, donors must weigh over 110 pounds, be between the ages of 16 and 75 and not have had a tattoo in the past 12 months.
