Mayor: Port Jefferson Bracing for Nor'easter

As some power is turned back on the village is bracing for a second storm.

Power came on yesterday in Harbor Hills section of Fairway Drive, the Riviera II, and sections of Jefferson Landing Circle. We will continue to work with the Senators office and LIPA to get the still remaining powerless areas of Port Jeff up.

In addition, we are now planning and bracing for the Nor'easter planned to hit the North Shore tomorrow. This storm brings with it rain as well as wind. Our DPW crew will work Wednesday thru and into Thursday in the event trees come down. Please call 473-4733 to report a fallen tree and/or outage.

We will keep you posted if lower Port floods again and ask that everyone, please try and once again stay off the roads. Village Hall will reopen tomorrow and is closed today due to the election.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
