A schedule of events for this weekend's Port Jefferson Boater's Maritime Festival.

Whether you're coming in by , by car, your own boat or walking into the village to get to the Boater's Maritime Festival in Port Jefferson this weekend you're going to need to know what's going on.

Saturday, May 12

Stony Brook School hosts first New York State Interscholastic Sail Championship.

Design a special message in a very special container that your will craft to give to your Special Mother on her Special Day. Steamboat Central: Watch and learn how real steam powered boats putt-putt through our indoor harbor. Admission is $5 per person, members and under 1 year of age are always free!

Young children, aged 2 -6, will get to make a deep sea collage while older children aged 7 – 12 get to go fishing - jelly fishing that is! Kids will get to make their own silly jelly fish to take home.

Sunday, May 13

Port Jefferson Library teen volunteers will be on the porch of the Maritime Explorium will be available to assist children in making a postcard craft. Using paint and stamps, children will make a postcard that will be perfect for sending to relatives or friends. The also offer small packets of a nautical craft that you can bring home and DIY with your child.
