New York's 1st Senate District is the largest state district on Long Island, covering all communities in the Towns of East Hampton, Southampton, Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island as well as communities in the Town of Brookhaven including Patchogue, Medford, Blue Point, Holbrook, Holtsville, Shoreham, Rocky Point, Sound Beach, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station.
