Paige Miller honored by village for her quick-thinking that helped save her grandmother's life.

On Monday night, the village of Port Jefferson honored fourth grader Paige Miller for her 911 call that helped save her grandmother's life. Miller - who had previously been honored by the school district - called police after witnessing her grandmother have a stroke. According to a village statement, the youngster also stayed on the phone with emergency workers as they drove to her house all the while comforting her grandmother.

"Unbelievable valor and bravery," said Mayor Margot Garant. "She is one of a kind!"
