Have you ever come upon one of these sandbars at low tide in Port Jefferson Marina as a boater?
Reader Mary Glennon Pullis sent us this photo of a sandbar in the Port Jefferson marina. We've never seen one like this before.
UPDATE: The photographer said that since she took this photo she heard that sandbars often appear at low tide in the marina much to the chagrin of the boaters docked there.
"I was also told that one time one of the angry boaters put a beach chair and umbrella there," Pullis said.
