Port Jeff Library Welcomes New Board Member
Two candidates ran for two open seats in recent election.
John Grossman is the newest member of the library board of trustees after an to run. Grossman, a Port Jefferson resident who works at Mt. Sinai school district, received 46 votes giving him the open 3-year term seat.
The incumbent, Tracy Stapleton, a trustee of the library since January 2011 who has been a Port Jefferson resident for 18 years, netted 62 votes, which won her the 5-year term on the board.
