Snow Removal, Beach Maintenance & More on Monday Night's Agenda

The Port Jefferson Board of Trustees has released its agenda for Monday night's meeting, set for 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall.

Reports listed by board members include snow removal, East & West Beach maintenance plans, staffing in the building and planning departments, the status of a couple of grants and more.

A dozen re-hires at the Port Jefferson Country Club are up for a vote, as well as approval of a contract extension for golf superintendent Brian MacMillan through 2015.

Other items on the agenda include:

  • Approve the recommendation of DPW Superintendent Steve Gallagher to hire Aaron Lipski effective February 28, 2013, for the position of laborer at the rate of $29,075.00 as per union contract to replace laborer Neil Barella who did not pass probation.
  • Approve the recommendation of Chief Wally Tomaszewski to require Lt. Andrew D’onofrio to wear a white shirt as part of his uniform as this will distinguish him as a person of authority under Chief Tomaszewski.
