What Questions Would You Like Your Local Government Officials to Answer?

Post your questions and we'll do our best to find an answer.

Here at Patch we like to cover all facets of the town, from school news to new or closing businesses, the accolades of prominent figures, and of course local government.

Scroll through the site and you'll see numerous stories revolving around local municipalities – some impacting specific villages and hamlets within the township, others affecting everyone.

Although we ask town officials questions at these meetings and outside of town hall, it's not always feasible for the residents to make meetings and address these officials themselves.

We'd like to know what you would ask your local elected political figures. Please feel free to start the discussion in the comments section.

"You can call it "the perfect fit"...exchanging a "public contribution" of $500.00 to your "landlord", Heritage Trust...which happens to be commonly known as the local Democrat Party "hangout"..." Which has what to do with District 2, seeing as Bonner isn't a Democrat?

QUESTION TO MARK LESKO : Why are you looking for a "replacement" for Town Board Member Steve Fiore- Rosenfeld ? What did he do ? Granted,"Upper Port" is trashed beyond repair. Who are you going to pick for the Town Board in his district ? Who is telling you, to pick someone to "replace" Steve Fiore-Rosenfeld ?

Hey Timmy Bishop, what is your business "connection" to Fred Towle ? Or as Newsday says, "disgraced pol's Suffolk union role" ? "But LaValle said that in recent years, Towle also has cultivated Democrats including Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko and Rep. Tim Bishop -- angering some Republicans. Bishop said he has known Towle since he was a student at Southampton College, where Bishop once was an administrator. Bishop noted that Towle, like many community leaders, has brought local issues to his attention. Lesko did not return calls for comment." http://www.newsday.com/columnists/rick-brand/eyes-on-disgraced-pol-s-suffolk-union-role-1.3688117 Lesko ain't talking...how about you ????

When is John Rouse, physically leaving his job, as Superintendent of Highways for the Town ? Wasn't he elected not apposed, last election cycle ? Is Rich Baker...who started his job and moved into his office, last Friday, as Assistant Superintendent of Highways, for Town of Brookhaven...going to officially replace Rouse, in December of this year ? Is Baker officially assuming the job responsibilities, now, that he has already fired two (2) Town employees, his first day on his job ?
