After Decades in Village, Local Plumbers Retire [Empty in Port Jefferson]

After 60 years in business in Port Jefferson, M.L. Zinna closed its doors.

A sign on the window at 202 East Main Street says that after 60 years in business, the owners of M.L. Zinna Plumbing have decided to retire leaving the building empty and available for rent.

"We are leaving our customers in the capable hands of James Henderson Plumbing and Heating. Our faithful employee Billy will continue on with the new company," the note read, signed by Carol and Joe Zinna. "Thank you for all the years of serving the community."

The shop and phone number will be the same, according to the note.
