Review of f2012 Suwassett Garden Club Award Ceremony
Congratulations to the members and organizers of the Suwassett Garden Club on their Eighth Annual Garden Recognition Program held at The Port Jefferson Village Center on the evening of June 28. A good share of the work and planning were done by Co Chairs, Stephanie Costanzoand Judy Zano who have been working year to organize the event.
The village is home to resplendent displays of Wild Flower, Zen, and Rock Gardens, which have added to the beauty and charm of our village, There were over ninety participants this year including school and club projects by children. There first place winners were awarded a hand painted plaque for their efforts which in itself was work of art.
The gardens can be viewed at Prospect Street, 202 Myrtle Ave, 667 High street, 100 First Street, 23 Dicker Street, 24 Laurel Drive and at other locations throughout the village.
