American Music Festival in Port Jefferson
Introduction to an article which will cover the American Music Festival and the opening of the Music Hall of Fame.

And so it was with the American Music Festival being held this weekend in Port Jefferson Village. However, “the show must go on” and Friday night’s events have been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Venues for the weekend performances have also been changed. It is advised to check the website or Facebook.
So far, I was able to see two performances, The Easy Street Band at the Chase Stage and Mary Lamonte at the newly refurbished restaurant on West Broadway. Both bands offered a variety of songs that demonstrated the energy, vitality, and grit of American music. We are off to a great start.
