5 Candidates Seek 3 Port Jeff School Board Seats

Board president Mark Doyle and Board Member James Laffey seeking re-election; all open Comsewogue School District seats are unopposed.

voters will have a choice of five candidates next month, running for three open seats.

Incumbent Board President Mark Doyle and Board Member James Laffey will attempt to reclaim their seats on the board, while Board Member Lauren Hubbard will not seek re-election.

In addition to Doyle and Laffey, Shawn Cohen, Ellen Boehm, and Vincent Ruggiero are also running.

Three board seats in the Comsewogue School District are all unopposed. Board President John Swenning, Vice President Lance Brown, and Edward Barry are all up for re-election.

Elections will be held on May 15.
