In Comsewogue, Graduates Celebrate Success

On Saturday, Comsewogue graduated its Class of 2012.

Among the successes and challenges for graduating students in the Class of 2012 at Comsewogue High School was a Valedictorian who matched her family legacy and an athlete who was brought back from the brink of death after suffering a heart attack.

“Graduation is but one success in your life,” Newsday reported Principal Joseph Coniglione saying in a story about this year's graduating class. “Graduation is not an ending, but a beginning.”

ALso, according to Newsday, Hope Reindl graduated with her class on Saturday.

Last year, Reindl at . Coaches Rick Miekley, a Sound Beach resident, and Justin Seifert, a Port Jeff Station resident, came to her aide. Her friend, located just outside the gym, the medical device that ultimately helped save her life.

More than 300 other students graduated on Saturday, each one with a special story of their own, now moving on to the next phase of their young lives.

“We’re going places,” said Lawrence in her Valedictorian address, Newsday reported. “The big moments in our lives are always about going places, leaving.”
