Over 500 Pounds Of Food Gets Donated To Island Harvest

Terryville Elementary students collected 575 pounds of non-perishable items to help those in need for the holidays.

Recently, students from The Terryville Road Elementary school collected and donated 575 pounds to Island Harvest.

Island Harvest is the largest food bank on Long Island. April Victor, principal of the elementary school, said the students were "very proud of themselves" and were happy to help those in need. "My school has been doing some great things," said Victor. "Our students were very proud of themselves, that they were able to help those in need."
