Our selection for Whiz Kids of this week are the members of the Port Jefferson High School Band who went to the 53rd Annual Mid-Island Band Festival.
Names: Tim Butera, Allison Cluett, Ryan Elliot, Dominik Famularo, Abby Finer, Dana Prohovnik and Elizabeth Stafford.

Accomplishment: On Friday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School band students, along with students from other area high schools participated in the 53rd Annual Mid-Island Band Festival.
