PHOTO: Port Jefferson Students Attend Day of Horn

Annual event gathers horn players from around Suffolk County.

Student musicians from Port Jefferson attended the 8th Annual SCMEA Day of Horn at Commack Middle School on Jan. 11.

Middle School students Gavin Barrett, Joseph Kaming-Thanassi and Charles Rolfe joined horn players from across the County to participate in the event. Guest artist Michael Slatkin from the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra led the musicians this year.
