PHOTOS: Port Jefferson Students Mix and Meet at Middle School BBQ
Summer event introduced students to staff and new principal.
For most students, summertime is not when you want to be thinking about stepping one foot on a school campus. Unless they're grilling up dogs and burgers, that is and homework assignments are nowhere in sight.
In August, the had its annual barbeque to introduce new students enetering sixth grade to the teachers and staff. With island music playing in the backgorund and while wearing Hawaiian leis, the kids got their locker assignments and met Antonio Santana, the new Middle School principal
