Port Jeff Senior Signs Letter of Intent

Andrew Keresztes received academic-athletic scholarship for fall of 2012.

Andrew Keresztes, a senior, signed an official Letter of Intent for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Feb. 6 surrounded by school administrators, his coaches, and his father, Roger Keresztes and mother, Patricia Farrelley, according to the school district. 

He received an academic-athletic scholarship for the fall of 2012 and will run for the university’s cross-country, indoor track and outdoor track teams. Keresztes has started for the Royals in cross-country, winter track and spring track for the past four years.

According to a statement from the school, Keresztes placed first in the Section XI League Championship for the 1000-meter race and participated in the Molloy Stanner Games, the Hispanic Games presented by the U.S. Navy and the Rhode Island Classic.
