Port Jeff Students Dress Up in Pajamas to Show School Spirit

Port Jefferson School District celebrates Spirit Week

Port Jefferson School District students jumped at the chance to participate in ‘Spirit Week.’ According to the district website, the school’s student council advisor Allison Giannusa helped to organize the daily themes district-wide.

School spirit week is basically a week of support for a district and often takes place around homecoming or other major school events. It’s a way for students and even teachers to come together and enjoy some theme day fun. This year was no different for Port Jefferson students. According to the district website, students got to wear all sorts of fun costumes to show their spirit.

“During the week, students dressed in pajamas, college gear, decade-related clothing, various class colors, and as their favorite Disney characters,” said the district. The event was opened to all schools district-wide and was a huge success.
