Norwood Elementary Student Needs Your Help

Attend a fundraiser at the Applebee's in Miller Place on Jan. 25 and 26 to raise money for a student with cancer

Ryan Zinna, a second grade student at Norwood Elementary, has been battling more than just schoolwork since kindergarten. Zinna was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer, preventing him from enjoying his first year of elementary school.

After a year of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Zinna was able to return to school. “Ryan and his family were thrilled this year, when he was on the road to recovery and returned to Norwood Elementary for second grade. His friends were thrilled to have him back and healthy,” said Gina Squitieri on the Warriors For Ryan Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, the family was devastated to learn last month that doctors had discovered another brain tumor during routine testing.”
