Students Take Field Trip To Lincoln Center
Students and parents sit in on the Philharmonic at Avery Fischer Hall in Lincoln Center.
Over 50 Port Jefferson elementary, middle and high school string students came together and made their pilgrimage to New York City to see the famous Lincoln Center.
Students and their parents got to sit in on an evening concert of the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fischer Hall in Lincoln Center. District officials said attendees enjoyed the orchestra's performance of Beethoven's “Fidelio Overture” and Symphony No. 1, Gershwin's “An American in Paris” and Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1 featuring the highly acclaimed violinist Lisa Batiashvili.
